Piedmont's Cammino di Oropa

Cammino di Oropa: A Piedmont Pilgrimage For Everyone

The Cammino di Oropa is among our travelers' favorite walks in Italy, despite being in the often underappreciated region of Piedmont. It's beautiful and surprising, and just a one-hour drive from Milan. Being a shorter pilgrimage in an accessible region makes this route perfect if you're on your first walking vacation.

This region of Piedmont is a place of untamed beauty. Between the glacial amphitheater of Serra Morenica and the rugged peaks of the Biellese Alps, you'll walk four stages—each strikingly different. From forests to open pastures, fortified Medieval hamlets to Marian shrines in the mountains, there's so much to discover on this pilgrimage in Piedmont.
