Our Greek Hiking Tours

Land of Ancestral Beauty

A trip to Greece seems to connect us with everything that’s sacred: the adventures the Homeric poems sing, a Venetian palace a thousand km far from Italy, familiar flavors in the dish you have ordered in a Taverna.

Get to the legendary island of Crete and visit the impressive Samaria gorges and Aradhena; treat yourself with a nice dip in the sea or with a delicious Sfakiana Pitta, your fingers sticky with fresh honey.

Colors of Cyclades

What does Santorini has in common with Mars?

Not just wonderful views and white and blue houses: the Cyclades will amaze you with their wonderful and wild nature - to the classic Greek colors is added the green of unspoiled nature and the red of the basaltic rocks, very similar to those that astronauts have collected from Mars; a mosaic of surprising and very vivid colors, to be enjoyed on our walking journey.

Our trips through Naxos and Santorini

The wild side of Crete

One island, one thousand souls

It's not just about the sea and beaches: our trips will take you on a journey to discover the lesser-known sides of the islands. You'll get to explore these places on foot, diving into the wild and ancient landscapes of the real Greece. Imagine walking surrounded by peaks capped with eternal snow, visiting ancient monasteries, and delving into the wild nature that still reigns supreme in the gorges.

Our trip in Crete, mountains and gorges

Art, history and myth

Palaces, mosaics, labyrinths

Art that speaks to us, art we've always heard about: from the frescoes adorning the Palace of Knossos in Crete to the masterpieces by woodcarvers in the Peloponnese, Greece has always communicated through its art. Visiting this country means also discovering its artistry, finding common roots, and seeing ourselves reflected in the tales of gods and heroes.

The Menalon Trail

In the mountains of Peloponnese

A journey into the heartland of Greece, deep in the Peloponnese: this path takes us up to 1000 meters, through monasteries built into rock faces and forests, mountain passes to remote villages, along rivers, and through black marble quarries, hermitages, and amphitheater-like towns. It's ideal for those looking to discover the lesser-known and more authentic side of this country, on one of the most beautiful routes in Europe.

Our journey on the Menalon Trail.

Taverns & Kafenei

The food of the Gods

Greek food is incredibly tasty, and often taverns (the restaurants) and Kafenei (Greek bars, similar to local bars) serve it alongside stunning views: terraces overlooking mountains and valleys, bars in the heart of villages or overlooking the beach, offering fresh fish, fragrant savory pies (spanakopita), gyros, and crisp salads with feta. They're perfect for refueling between walks.

What kind of equipment should I bring for these walking trips?

A good pair of hiking shoes is essential. Additionally, it's advised to bring a hat, sunscreen, comfortable and layered clothing, and a water bottle. If you decide to book with us, we'll provide a detailed packing list.

What are the best seasons for undertaking these walking trips in Greece?

Spring and autumn are ideal to avoid the extreme summer heat. These periods offer milder temperatures and lush landscapes, making the walking experience more enjoyable.

Is it safe to go on a self-guided trip in these destinations?

Yes, it is safe. We provide detailed documentation for each trail, and our local office is always available for support and assistance during the trip.

What happens if my ferry gets cancelled due to adverse weather conditions?

This is very rare and it only happens 4 or 5 times per year, but in this unfortunate case we will rearrange your trip and make sure that your holiday is affected as little as possible; having a local office in Athene, we can provide full support on the spot and make sure you are well taken care of even in times of incovenience!
