How many people can join a small group walking holiday with SloWays?

Our group itineraries are designed for private small groups, typically between 2 and 12 people.

These are not fixed-departure group tours: the group is yours, made up of friends or family you have chosen to travel with.

This allows us to tailor every detail to your needs, from daily walking pace to accommodation preferences.

Can we customize the itinerary if our group has mixed fitness levels?

Absolutely.

Every itinerary can be adapted to suit the needs of your group.

Whether your group includes experienced walkers and first-timers, or someone prefers shorter stages, we work with you to find a pace that suits everyone.

It is possible to adjust stage lengths, choose double or single-room accommodation, and add services such as luggage transfer between accommodations.

Are the accommodations suitable for a group? Will we all stay together?

Yes.

When designing group itineraries, we carefully consider the capacity of the accommodations.

We select hotels, agriturismi, and B&Bs that can comfortably host your group, ideally in the same building or in nearby properties.

The SloWays approach favours characterful, authentic, and welcoming places rather than standardised hotel chains.

Do we need a guide, or do we walk independently?

Our small-group holidays are self-guided.

You walk at your own pace, without a guide setting the schedule.

You receive detailed route documentation, GPS maps available through the SloWays app, and access to our team throughout the trip whenever you need support.

If your group would prefer an accompanying guide, we can evaluate tailored solutions on request.

How does booking work for a group? Is there a minimum number of participants?

There is no fixed minimum number of participants.

We also organise trips for couples and small groups of two or three people.

For larger groups, we recommend contacting us early, especially for high-season travel dates, to secure accommodation availability.
