This journey takes you through three very different sides of Cape Verde, combining colourful cities, lush mountain valleys, remote coastal villages and extraordinary volcanic landscapes.
Begin in São Vicente, exploring the cultural energy of Mindelo before crossing to Santo Antão, where some of the archipelago’s most spectacular walking trails wind through deep valleys, terraced farmland and villages perched above the Atlantic. Here, each day brings a different landscape — from the tropical greenery of Paul Valley to the volcanic cliffs of Ribeira da Torre and the dramatic coast around Fontainhas and Ponta do Sol.
Then extend your adventure to Fogo, where the scenery changes completely. Stay inside the immense crater of Chã das Caldeiras, walk across recent lava fields and, if you wish, climb Pico do Fogo, the highest mountain in Cape Verde. Alternative programmes and different hiking options throughout the journey give you the freedom to choose how active you want each day to be.
From the green valleys of Santo Antão to the black lava of Fogo, this is a journey through Cape Verde’s remarkable contrasts, experienced on foot and always at your own pace.
